Aromas @ Hatten City

Look at this Street View 360 taken at about 11 in the morning on Sunday 15 April 2018.

This image is taken on SkyDeck@Hatten City

This 360 image will rotate as you rotate your handphone.

You can also use your finger to slide the 360 image to the left or right.

I seized the moments on SkyDeck and was very engrossed with everything from the land to sea and up to the beautiful sky.

If you visit Taiwan, you would visit Taipei 101 right ? If you visit Melaka, SkyDeck@Hatten City give you the highest 360 panoramic view of Melaka.

I enjoy a resfreshment with the Aromas on Level 43 Hatten City.

My cup of Americano is super nice. My CupCake, the Red Velvet blend very well with the hot Americano. Watch the video below I filmed to share with you.

I felt so comfortable enjoying my refreshment with Aromas and the staff is friendly and courteous in serving me. I am lucky too, when Sebastian came over to make sure I have been pampered with an excellent and friendly hospitality.

I know it will be difficult for me to get to enjoy a nice Americano and a nice cupcake at the price I paid, outside on the streets.

Check out yourself !

-  guests, the staff, the government agencies, the social media community and many others, for their continuous dedication, encouragement and support.

Together, this hotel has been selected as the winner for the best hotel services; the Best 4-Stars Category Awardfor the year 2016/2017.

Through architecture and design, refined images projected an unique glamour of this hotel, located next to a existing settlement, as a result of King I, King of Portugal interest in Melaka.

Beside the factors of property location, variety and quality of food service, features and amenities; staff that puts all things together to create the best image and competitive position is most important in securing the Malaysia Tourism Award.

I love the Front Office. You must not overlook the Front Office when you enter a hotel because Front Office is hotel and there is where you are being impressed and pampered on first sight.

I am lucky to see this medal of award on a close-up distance and I filmed the medal on two occasion; once during the Buka Puasa Preview and the second last night. I love this hotel and is proud of the friendly ties not just for me but to anyone who is checking it out.

The pre-Magrhrib amazing brightness keeps changing as if it was managed by sophisticated Lighting Control Consoles and Dimmer Boards. By 7, I parked my car in the hotel's yard overlooking a lovely garden punctuated by attap leaves roofing suites.

Swiftly, I disappeared into a lift to the eyes of some courteous F & B staff who let me first and the noiseless ascend took me to the rooftop.

Smiles ripples to my direction as I walked to the welcome desk to sign-in and a door-gift is waiting for me.

Enough indoor and outdoor plants guided me to slices of assorted cakes where I filmed the first video clip as the toppings is of much delight and in harmony with the swaying green leaves and petals.

How could you resist to admire the soothing or rather the gentle calming effect of the bluish sky with dashes of white trails intermingling with cute little white cauliflower. [ The White Clouds before dusk has become tame and the bluish light interspersed by orange-precipitate radiance of the dipping sunset is a must for lover ]

I feel as if I was alone losing myself to the seductive atmosphere on the rooftop ambience synchronized by the maghrib dimming sky and the glowing city lights until my ears turn to Pauline as she call me not far behind my shoulder. She care to make sure I have my first bite of my favorite lamb ribs.

I have been waiting since 2015 for the staging of the Impression Series in Melaka and over time, I simply cannot resist to watch a short video of the series from sites in China on YouTube.

“ It is worth flying to an Encore Theatre or an Impression Theatre to watch the show though your home may by far away” - The WTO said after watching the first creation.

Datuk Wira Boo, " I've always wanted to contribute to Melaka ... "

As a Melakan, I have read her history. The ‘Melaka Period’ began in the fifteenth-century and did not just ended in the following or next century but lingered on till the nineteenth century.

After the mouse deer pushed the dog into the river, the eastern dynasties and the western empires began to love Melaka. Melaka was a 'sleeping-hollow' once. Today, Melaka is going to encore her glory again. Melaka got its name from Parameswara and when Ma Huan, who visited Melaka on Zheng He’s voyages reported that ancient Melaka was not a country or “ Kuo ” Ma Huan came to know that Melaka paid an annual tribute of 40 tael of gold to Siam.

Of the 7 voyages Zheng He made to Xiyang, the admiral developed trading ties with many ancient cities in Nanyang, and berth 5 times in Melaka. When China’s Meizhou Mazuvisited in Melaka on July 4, last year, I recalled that Zheng He had prayed to Lin Mo, the deity for seafarers, fishermen and sailors, on his last voyage.

There are numerous books recording the ties of Zheng He with Melaka, movies,  and what not, but to synchronized every bits of the great and many moments that happened in the long past into a masterpiece, and to replay such, is an encore.

We are lucky to have Yong Tai, Zhang Yimou, Fan Yue and Wang Chaoge to engineered a dream to a drama for us. You will feel, we will hear and everyone will see the historic truth inside ENCORE to how we have read from books, we have watched on the screen, and some who have listened to them from speakers.

Herein, I need to record a Thank You to Mr. Chwee, for walking me through The Making Of Encore Melaka, Katherine Chu for a summary of Encore Melaka, and Margaret Liew for guiding me on a tour.

Check Out !AWorld Class Theatrette in superb motion is performing with the dedicated intelligence orchestrated by creative directors and some 200 carefully selected performers, whose potential and talent is being scrutinized to promise you a good ticket buy.

I have a ticket on hand and I am going for the first show.

Hooks and skewers only scary to the common

Devotedworshipper pierced their skin with hooks and skewers during the recent Datuk Chachar Festival  while other devotees carried offerings of milk pot. Others used spears to pierce their cheeks.

As they make barefooted steps till the Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple in the Chetti village on Gajah Berang Road, some devotees were restrained with hooks pierced into their back. Thumping drumbeats nonstop accompanied the devotees from the Sri Poyatha Moorti Temple on Goldsmith Street, built in the year 1781 as recorded in the Dutch grant.

Goldsmith Street where the Chetti Temple and Tanjong Kling Mosque is located, has together with Blacksmith Street which begin from Pin Pin Hiong restaurant to the Da Bo Gong Temple and joining with Cheng Hoon Teng Temple to the Guang Fu Kong Temple is now a harmony street.

The Chetti community contributed to Melaka fortunes for as much as five centuries and Melaka history is incomplete without mentioning them. Devout Hindus believe that it is incumbent on them to manifest benevolence by donations to serve the Lord. Every Chitty home has at its entrance a portrait of the Goddess Lakshmi or Saraswathi or of the gods Subramaniam or Krishna and mango leaves is wreath intricately below the portraits.

On April 1 last month, Guang Fu Kong celebrated on a high note, and one week after the Datuk Chachar Festival, the Sam Toh Tong Temple is holding the World 10th Anniversary of Da Bo Gong this coming 4th, 5th and 6th May 2018. By mid-May, the fasting month of Ramadan begin and the Tanjong Kling Mosque is going to have daily activities of the Tarawih prayers and so forth. You must not miss this street when you visit Melaka !

How much it cost to take care of old persons

$
0
0

Young persons are energetic in work and can survive on their own and to say young Malaysians cannot live without the BR1M [ Bantuan Rakyat 1 Malaysia ] may not be exact and precise. When money is given easily to the able young, and the givings is increasing, they may become greedy and lazy. Creativity, Industriousness and Talent would gradually become rare.

Young persons can work and must worknot just to earn a living but to get wisdom as they grow as teenager to adulthood to parenting.

A greater nation is not who is the government but how the government is formed to foster wealth [ Wealth = Health + Financial Income + Education ] which is the energizing source to make a better community.

A family is a unit of a community and all communities come together to make a society. How the society is formed decide the future of a nation.

Old persons has only a small 5.1 % proportion of the population in Malaysia in the year 2000 while school going persons occupied 27.6 %.

The proportion of the working age population is 67.3 %

For easy calculation,

  • Fixed the BR1M at RM 1000 per recipient
  • 67.3 % of the population is recipient

You have to bank-in RM 1000 multiply by 67.3 to spend RM 67,300 [ Note 1 ] per year.

For easy caculation,
  • Fixed the BOT1M at RM 1000 per recipient [ Bantuan Orang Tua 1 Malaysia ]
  • 5.1 % of the population is recipent

You have to bank-in RM 1000 mutiply by 5.1 to spend RM 5,100 per year.

Say you bank-in every month to the old persons, you only spend RM 61,200 [ Note 1 ] per year.

When Note 1 is minus with Note 2, or RM 67,300 minus RM 61,200 , you can save RM 6,100 per year.

A FAMILY IS AN IMPORTANT UNIT

The Chinese chacracter for "filial piety" consists of 2 parts: the old and the young. The word is in fact a child carrying or supporting the aged parent with a loving relationship. A good family is the basis for a good society and a good society is the basis for a good nation.

Menghormati Ibu Bapa

After 223 years, this is the first time, Sam Toh Tong Temple has done a celebration in partner as the World's 10th Anniversary of Da Bo Gong. Minutes before the celebration kick-off yesterday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., I shot the above photograph when the committee members were posing with the sedan chair of Na Cha. I was lucky to exchange cell phone numbers with Mr. Yow, a member of the Da Bo Gong committee. I promised to send the link to the YouTube video of the temple celebration.

My son, Li De dropped me at the Pin Pin Hiong corner, Melaka's famous Mi Sua Soup restaurant minutes before noon. The blue-white stripes canvas covered the other end of the Blacksmith Lane [ Jalan Tukang Besi ] , a street named after the many cottages created objects from wrought iron heated in the furnace, forged using hammer. Metalsmiths were needed to make iron objects used by the junks since Admiral Zheng He first visited Melaka.

When I've gone near the canvass, a big sedan chair housing the Da Bo Gong come to sight as a steered my steps to the sidewalk. Below is what everyone have seen.

Congrates Pakatan Harapan !

GST of 6 % began on 1 April 2015,  and it pinches the rakyat every day on the streets. How painful, the man on the street knows.

This photograph showed my first breakfast menu this morning as Malaysia is reborn.

Image of url https://generalabout.blogspot.my

For half-boiled eggs, I pay RM2.40. For Mee Rebus, I pay RM5.00. For three Roti Telur and two Roti Kosong, I pay RM8.00. For one cup of Kopi-O and one cup of Kopi, I pay RM2.70. Total cost of breakfast is RM18.10. This is me. I earned a gross RM3,000 a month and this breakfast has taken a 18 % of mine RM100 per day gross pay. What about many others who earn only RM2,000 a month and worst those who earn RM1,000 a month ?

We have executed our power yesterday to renew Malaysia and that is not all, for we have to support the new government by changing our old habits and also to reduces our prices after GST is abolished. Only then can the man on the street, eat well and sleep well. The Malay Tsunami just happened last night and it is a very good lesson to everyone.

We can trust Pakatan Harapan to " hapuskan GST " within the first 100 days as the new government for Malaysia.

Listen to Tun Dr. Mahathir

One for all and all for one

$

No radio stations to listento but to rely on what he read when he was a student, today he is the longest-standing  patriot to twice serve Mahathir, the jailor who who not only had put him but also Guan Eng as ISA detainees at Kamunting Detention Centres. Whatsapp has changed the way how news is read.

9 has been a special day. It was a day in August 1965 when Singapore was separated from Malaysia and it is a day in May 2018 that Malaysians woke up and objectively decided to let go of Barisan Nasional. Mothers were terribly worried during the racial riots of May 13, 1969 but today, mothers can now see a brighter future as their children show love to them this Sunday, May 13, 2018.

Born in Batu Pahat on February 20, 1941, his favorite poem which Kit Siang wrote come true after 61 years.

One for all and all for one
We care not what colour, creed or religion you belong
For isn't each of us Malaya's son
Then why let silly racial quarrels prolong ?

Malaysians, like you like me must appreciate him for he has endured the hardships few could accept and he has not been doing it for himself but for our country. While you might be celebrating your family reunion in restaurant in 1988, the only chance he had celebrated his reunion with his family was in the Taiping Hospital warded for treatment as ISA detainees. Kit Siang kicked started everything.

A second historic moment which empowered the rakyat decision to support Pakatan Harapan was when the genius Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Wan Azizah Ismail appeared in a DAP rally to show solidarity in the fight to get Guan Eng released back in September 1998. They became partner after.

Syed Akbar Ali has wrote on "Malaysia and The Club of Doom ~ The Collapse of The Islamic Countries"Penning his introduction at Bukit Jalil in 2006, Syed Akbar Ali highlighted as appended below to Malaysians in particularly:

" The devil promises
you only poverty
and exhorts you
to commit evil works
while God promises you
forgiveness from Him
and blessings.
God is bounteous,
omniscient "
~ The Heifer 2:268

Another early reminder for Malaysians to save Malaysia was delivered by Tony Pua on 11 December 2010 to describe how the "Malaya Tiger that Lost its Roar "after being elected as the Member of Parliament for Petaling Jaya Utara in March 2008. Malaysians took the reminder lightly in GE 13 back in the year 2013.

61 years of efforts to develop the nation seemed to have not benefited the rakyat and finally every extremely patience Malaysian waved a destructive tsunami which drowned not only Barisan Nasional but also Malaysian Chinese Association MCA, Malaysian Indian Congress MIC and Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia Gerakan.

Over the same period or almost 60 years of experience struggling with its bilingual education policy, Singapore has succeeded to focus on English and the Mother Tongue in developing from a former British colony into a united nation.

We are not late, we just begin.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has congratulated Tun Dr. Mahathir on being sworn in as the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia who is serving the Office for a second time. Tun M 22 years as Prime Minister, had not only transformed Malaysia from an agricultural backwater into an industrial powerhouse but had also made the country to become the 17th largest trading nation in the world.

A Game of Forgiveness, enemies have become brotherhood, as if destined, for it is only with the wisdom of Tun Dr. Mahathir to reveal the Vision 2020 capsule.

At last, we can again hold our heads high.

Note :

I wish Tun Mahathir and his team every success, to appreciate Guan Eng (my secondary schoolmate) for his struggle to UBAH, respect his father Kit Siang on his untiring efforts over 14 general elections and of course, Tey Kok Kiew

A soothing garden-like area fronting the restaurant; my first impression is, it is going to be a joyful get-together this evening. My son uttered to me, " Pa, this place looks like Oasis Ara Damansara "Use the below GoogleStreet View to check the area !

Well, I am not shy to tell you that this is the first time I dined with XQ Western SteakHouse in Taman Kota Laksamana Jaya. Blatantly, I told Ken, Alvin and Ally and to my surprise, they served me like I am a regular guest. I am amazed as to what formula they used to orchestrate the whole dining hall into a joyful experience for everyone on top of their excellent food, beverages and services. I am usually slow in praising, but not for this time.

Hardly can I be pampered with services of their standard in Melaka.

Mothers' Dayasked for this wonderful dinner. Danielle called from Genting Highlands after the Bruno Mars 24K Magic World Tour 2018, Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, to inform her sister, Sandra to coordinate a surprise dinner for mum. I only got to know about it at six, an hour before we were seated on Table A1A at 5 & 7 KLJ 1-A, Taman Kota Laksamana Jaya, Melaka. I am confident you can easily reserved your table via this number, 016 624 4082 Today is Mothers' Day

Atlantic Salmom
Jpeg Image of url https://generalabout.blogspot.my

The above Jpeg Image shot with a Samsung S6 Edge (Huawei's Leica Lens would project better but I've not thought of it as I was entangled with the food) is what Sandra wish her mother to get happy over Salmon fish. Bet you, I forked a portion of the Atlantic Salmon swiftly into my mouth and immediately my olfactory system recognizes and identify the smell which makes me wanting more. Not fishy, and it is somewhat thinly crispy for me to bites out the fragrance of aromatic roast or grilled while the salmon full-bodied remained tangy and juicy to keep the excellent source of high-quality protein, potassium, selenium and omega-3 for the eater.

BBQ Pork Ribs
Jpeg Image of url https://generalabout.blogspot.my

I guessed the BBQ Pork Ribs isn't very sticky when I seized the moments to photographed this image upon being laid onto the table by Alvin. Marinated and infused with ingredients unknown to me, I have discovered another way to enjoy pork-ribs. Now, there are 3 favorites on pork-ribs; one was fed by mum when I was a kid back in the 1960s and it is non-other than Sichuan Pork Ribs Soup. The second style of feasting on pork-ribs is for now, everyone love - the Bak Kut Teh. At XQ Western SteakHouse, I found the third.

Carbonara
Jpeg Image of url https://generalabout.blogspot.my

Not buttery but just moderately creamy, the salted-cured pork slices goes well with the Carbonara Spaghetti. My zest for Carbonara has taken me to taste the kitchens of Jonker Walk to Ujong Pasir and even to understand the distinctiveness of this spaghetti cuisine with a towering restaurant, XQ is above par.

Fresh Pumpkin Soup
Jpeg Image of url https://generalabout.blogspot.my

Dr. Theresa, a nutritionist has asked me to consume raw green pumpkin-seeds since 2008, and I have never dream of the super yummy fresh pumpkin soup I was spooning. If you asked me how I feel, I would rather leave it to you to tell me.

Chinese cuisine and western cuisine is well-known in the world that even if you might know little, you have heard about somewhere.

To me, this soup reminded me that the chef has retained the skills of the origin of Chinese cooking which he has infused with western culinary art, to delight guests.

Thanks, Ken, Alvin and Ally

When YAB Tn Hj Adly Zahari announced his sincere intent to reduce the whooping electricity bill of a sum of Ringgit Malaysia Forty-Six Thousands a month for Seri Bendahara, many would know that he is starting to clean the mess from his official residence first. Adly has thus executed one of the five pillars of Pakatan Harapan which is to reduce the people's burden.

Smartly, the Chief Minister has opened his official residence since May 15 to the public to survey the standard and the status of the public property for a month. Today, I joined the crowd. The public can judge how money was spent on Seri Bendahara, and benched it against future spending when the Pakatan Harapan leader occupy the same residence used by the previous regime. I see this as not just an act to the thank the rakyat for votes which put them as a governing party but also as an act of transparency, a very important ingredient to rebuild the nation.

Everyone by now has know that the Buku Harapan is the only handbook to rebuild our nation, fulfilling our hopes.

The Chief Minister's car MCM 1, M 1 and MCK 606 are there too, probably for a month too and therefore not being used immediately by the newly-elected leader. This manner is something new, something we did not see for the past 61 years.

This must be the beginning of #ExcellentMelaka #MelakaBerwibawa - #Clean , #Smart & #Green

Header as About Melaka & Other Subjects

Tun was moving around silently after he relinquished his prime-ministerial duties for Malaysia on 31st October 2003 and I could still remember how Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz rushed forward to ask Dr. Mahathir, " Why ? Why ? "

I held my tears to became sober after thinking that Tun ought not to shoulder a national expectation at the age of 77 after much progress Malaysia has achieved during his 22 years term. The answer as to who could continue his vision shattered me.

Silence was broken when Tun quit UMNO in 2016 quoting that UMNO today is not the same as the UMNO which was founded in 1946.

6 years to 2020, Tun predicted that Malaysia might not be able to achieve the status of a developed country as his 30-year plan is not adhered to by his successor. As much as Tun was concerned with the progress of the Malays, he also wanted to make sure that the Chinese, the Indian and everyone, could move ahead as a whole. In 2014, Tun found out that our industry players are still unable to market their products and services into the international arena. Tun was sad. Has the Chamber of Commerce go to aide Tun then ?. [ Industry Player is a very influential person or group, a company or an individual in a particular industry ]

Things have gone from bad to worse, silent is no longer the word, "The Roar Has Come"even to Bukit Piatu, Melaka.

At Bukit Piatu on Friday 4th May 2018 bersamaan 18 Syaaban 1439, Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz told the rakyat that our house roof has been blown away, the pillars is rotting, the doors and windows are being taken away, ... ... and the next thing, when Tun and Siti Hasmah come to stage, the screaming and the shouting of "Hidup Tun" and "Reformasi" demanded the surgical precision of Tun to cure ailing Malaysia.

Indispensable ! Tun is a doctor in the August House for a second time and from today Malaysia is on the road to recovery. I love you, Tun !

At both ends of the street
Signplates bear the name
Of an illustrious son.

His only son, too, every Baba knows,
Deserves a token somewhere,
And in their memory.

In this very street
In the lavish study
Of the most famous house

Were made and sealed
A people's fortunes,
And their fate.
