The Melaka Chittys are Straits-born Indian and offsprings of Indian traders who came from Panai Koromandel in India.
Came to Melaka in the 15th century, they practice Hindu faith, speak Malay and cook Indian cuisine.
Marriage ceremony is traditonal Indian custom but wear sarung just like the nyonyas.
